Dr. Troy Buescher

"I was born to be a chiropractor", exclaims Dr. Troy Buescher. "Well not exactly, but I was born into chiropractic. I grew up in a chiropractic family. My dad has been practicing for over 40 years and as a kid I thought chiropractors were just like all other doctors. I thought everyone saw a chiropractor just like a dentist or family doctor."  "As I got a little older I began to see the differences. When I was in high school", Dr. Troy remembers. "one of the guys on my basketball team had really bad back pain. At the time he had to wear a huge plastic back brace at night to correct the problem. It wasn't working. He went to see my dad and within a few weeks was playing without pain. That opened my eyes to just how different chiropractic was."

Dr. Buescher was born and raised in the Peoria area. He attended Dunlap High School.

Dr. Troy began his pre-chiropractic education at Indiana University. While at IU,  he studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, physics, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science and a minor in chemistry.

After completing his studies at Indiana, Dr. Troy was accepted at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri. During his years at Logan, he took courses including biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Logan Outpatient Clinics. While at Logan, Dr. Troy learned and worked under the team chiropractors for the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams. Dr. Buescher graduated from Logan with a Bachelors of Science in Human Anatomy in addition to his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

After graduating in 2001 Dr. Troy returned to Peoria to begin his practice with his father at Buescher Chiropractic.  In January 2011,  Dr. Troy Buescher joined Benningfield and Associates to establish the Largest Chiropractic Office in the Peoria Area.  Today, Dr. Troy splits his time between the Peoria and Princeville offices of Benningfield and Associates.

Outside of chiropractic Dr. Troy enjoys spending his time with his wife Tessa and his family.  He has three children.  Austin, his oldest, is married to Rachel and is currently serving in the United States Air Force.  His two still at home, Chase and Tara, are students at Dunlap.
